The top intelligence officer in the U.S., Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair, announced his resignation Thursday, CNN reports.
Dennis Blair oversaw 17 federal intelligence agencies, including the CIA, FBI and Dept. of Homeland Security.
A retired four-star Navy admiral, Blair served in the post since Jan. 29, 2009.
