The U.S. Justice Department has indicted five Blackwater employees on manslaughter and weapons charges for their alleged involvement in a Sept. 16, 2007, shooting in Baghdad, Defense News reports.
A private security company based in North Carolina, Blackwater is the largest security contractor in Iraq.
The indictment, released Monday, charged the men with killing 14 Iraqi civilians and wounding 20 others.
