Black Hornet, Desert Hawk 3 UAVs Attain Full Operational Capability

The British army has achieved full operational capability with a pair of tactical unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, reports the U.K. Ministry of Defense.
Contracts worth about 23 million pounds (US$35 million) have been awarded to sustain the Black Hornet nano-UAV and Desert Hawk 3 micro-UAV. Both systems have also been brought into the military's core equipment program, according to the ministry on Sept. 17.
