Biden Presses Congress To Approve Weapons Deals With Turkey

The Biden administration has asked lawmakers to approve proposed weapons deals with Turkey in a sign of warming ties, reports the Wall Street Journal.

The potential sales of missiles and associated equipment were sent to congressional leaders last month.

The move comes as Turkey seeks to leverage its role as a facilitator of peace talks between Russian and Ukraine and its support for the Ukrainian military to repair ties with the U.S.
