President Zillur Rahman has named the next chief of Bangladesh's army staff, reports BDNews24.com.
Lt. Gen. Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan, an infantry officer, will succeed Gen. Abdul Mubeen, who is scheduled to retire on June 25 after three years in the post, according to a government statement on Thursday.
Bhuiyan is expected to be promoted to full general, reported the Press Trust of India. He currently serves as the quartermaster general.
