More traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) in the military are being diagnosed due to better battlefield diagnosis, reports USA Today, citing new Pentagon figures.
Last spring, there was an average of 16 TBIs daily. This was the highest such figure for such injuries of any period in the last 10 years, according to the data.
The military has significantly improved monitoring for such wounds over the last three years, say DoD officials.
