Bell Textron has revealed its bid for the U.S. Army’s Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) program to fill a capability gap left by the retirement of the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior.
The Invictus incorporates proven designs from commercial and military programs to provide a low-risk bid, including the rotor system from the commercial Bell 525 Relentless medium-lift platform, noted the manufacturer in a release on Wednesday.
