A Belgian company has cut ties with the Burmese military, reports the Voice of America News.
Newtec, a satellite communications firm, announced that it would no longer do business with Mytel, a Burmese mobile phone company owned in part by the military.
The move came after a U.N. report called for firms to stop doing business with the Tatmadaw, the name for the Burmese military.
