Beijing Pledges More Military Ties

Several agreements have been reached between China and Turkmenistan.

Among other issues during his visit to Ashgabat, the head of the Chinese military called for more defense cooperation, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.

On Monday, Chen Bingde, the chief of the general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, met with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, with Chen pointing to significant progress in enhancing their military ties.
