The Pakistani military says its troops are laying siege to Taliban strongholds in the Kotkai region of South Waziristan, the Dawn (Pakistan) reports.
At least 20 militants and four soldiers died overnight Tuesday in the fourth day of fighting since Pakistan launched a major ground assault into the area.
