The Basij militia in Iran has just concluded a two-day exercise in Tehran, reports Agence France-Presse.
About 50,000 members of the mostly volunteer force took part in the drill, which ended on Thursday.
The exercise was aimed at proving "the security forces' ability to safeguard national security," said a Basij spokesman.
