Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has rolled out its new basic trainer for the first time at its facility in Ankara.
The Hurkus is being designed to meet Turkish air force requirements, according to a TAI release.
Wednesday's milestone marks the beginning of the test phase for the program.
The trainer features a tandem configuration for the trainer and student and a 1,600-hp turboprop engine to prepare pilots for jet operations.
