Japanese and Russian ships have just finished an anti-piracy drill in the Arabian Sea, reports the Tass news agency (Moscow).
The drills on Monday and Tuesday included joint maneuvers, freeing a vessel from mock pirates and joint naval gunnery exercises.
Helicopters from each country practiced landing on the other's ships.
The Russian contingent from the Baltic Fleet included the frigate Yaroslav Mudry, the tanker Yelnya and tug Viktor Konetsky.
