Ousted Kyrgyz leader Kurmanbek Bakiyev says he does not intend to return to Kyrgyzstan as president, the BBC reports.
Although he said he will remain in exile in Belarus, Bakiyev indicated that he no longer recognizes his resignation, saying the interim government broke the terms under which he resigned and he signed it under pressure.
"They guaranteed the safety of my family, but my family is being persecuted, therefore I do not recognize my resignation," he said.
