BAE Wins More Design Work For Future Boomers

BAE Systems has been awarded a 315 million pound (US$507 million) contract to continue design work on a replacement for the British Royal Navy's Vanguard-class ballistic missile submarines, reports the defense firm.
This latest award is a follow-on to a 328 million pound (US$528 million) contract from May 2012, according to a BAE Systems release.
The U.K. plans to replace the Vanguard class beginning in 2028.
The award is seen as a boost to the owners of Barrow’s shipyard....
