BAE Systems has received orders for 93 M777 howitzers from the U.S. and Australia, bringing total orders to 955 units, the British-based global defense firm reports.
The U.S. Army and Marine Corps purchased a total of 58 guns, while Australia is acquiring 35 through the U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program.
The purchases were announced at the Farnborough exhibition in the U.K.
