Army officials say the Defense Dept. will soon deploy miniature drones that can destroy targets with high accuracy, reports the Los Angeles Times.
The six-pound Switchblade, made by the California-based AeroVironment, is armed with tiny explosives that can be delivered to a target in a kamikaze fashion.
The two-foot-long drone can be carried in a soldier's rucksack and launched from a mortar-like tube. It then can deliver live video until an attack order is given.
