AW101 Helo Crash Lands On Caio Duilio Destroyer

An Italian naval helicopter has crashed while landing on a destroyer following a training flight, reports the Aviationist blog.

On Wednesday, the AW101 made a heavy landing on the deck of the destroyer Caio Duilio at the end of a nighttime training exercise. 

Photos published by local media showed the aircraft lying on its side, with significant damage to its rotor blades. 

All six crewmembers survived. No serious injuries were reported.
