Chinese authorities say more than two dozen "terrorists" have been killed over the past two months in the largely Muslim Xinjiang region, reports Al Jazeera (Qatar).
According to Chinese police, the operation was launched after an attack in September at a coal mine in Aksu that left 16 people dead and another 18 wounded.
Those killed included five police officers, said the government-run Xinjiang Daily on Friday.
