Dozens of people who were enslaved by the Islamic State in the coastal Libyan city of Sirte have been released by Libyan authorities, reports Reuters.
Twenty-eight Eritreans and seven Nigerians, almost all women and children, escaped late last year as forces loyal to the United Nations-backed government contested ISIS for control of Sirte.
The former captives were investigated for several months in a Misrata prison before being released on Wednesday to staff from the U.N....
