Following a massive earthquake that struck Indonesia last week, the Australian military launched a major relief operation in West Sumatra, Indonesia, working alongside the Indonesian government, reports the Australian.
Dozens of Australian personnel were on the way in Padang at the end of the week as two transport aircraft flew medical, engineering and urban search specialists to the region.
