Attack On Election Officials Kills 7

At least seven people have been killed and 20 wounded in an assault on a convoy of Bangladeshi election officials in the southeastern Rangamati district, reports the New Age (Dhaka).

The convoy was headed to the Bagaichhari county headquarters on Monday to deliver materials following voting at two polling stations, police officials said.

Six of the victims died at the scene. A seventh succumbed to their injuries at a local hospital.
