Boeing says it has begun assembling the first P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft ordered by Norway.
On Monday, the fuselage arrived at the Boeing facility in Renton, Wash., after being built at the Spirit AeroSystems site in Wichita, Kan., the company said in a release.
The P-8 is based on the Boeing 737NG platform and built on the same production line. Additional wiring and systems to support various military equipment are installed at that time.
