Violence spread overnight Tuesday across Pakistan's largest city after a provincial lawmaker and political leader was assassinated, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Raza Haider, a senior leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) political party, was shot by gunmen on motorcycles while he was attending a funeral Monday at a Karachi mosque.
