The Lebanese army has just held a joint live-fire exercise with the U.N. peacekeeping mission (UNIFIL) in southern Lebanon, reports the Daily Star (Beirut).
The Field Artillery Group, part of UNIFIL's quick reaction force, and Lebanese army artillery took part in the Neptune Thunder drills.
The drills involved shelling targets at sea to limit noise in civilian areas.
