Artillery Drill To Begin In East China Sea

The Chinese military says it will hold six days of live-fire artillery drills in the East China Sea starting on Wednesday, Reuters reports.
The drills have been reported as a response to a planned military exercise between South Korea and the United States. Chinese officials, however, called the timing a coincidence.
China's Foreign Ministry expressed concern last week over rumors that a U.S. aircraft carrier would take part in an exercise next month in the Yellow Sea.
