Artillery Commander Named New Military Chief

Col. Gen. Pak Jong Chon has been named the new chief of the North Korean military, reports Agence France-Presse.
Pak was named chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army on Friday, reported the state-run Korean Central News Agency.
The general was previously the head of the artillery command and joined dictator Kim Jong Un at the test-firing of new guided missiles last month.
He succeeds Gen. Ri Yong Gil, who has held the top post twice since 2013.
