The Israeli air force has announced the first test of the Arrow 3 missile defense system for early 2011, the Jerusalem Post reports.
The system's first interception test is expected to take place in 2012, military officials said.
The Arrow 3 system would add another layer of defense to the existing Arrow 2, which is already in operation nationwide.
