Army's Fleet Of AB-212 Helicopters To Be Upgraded

The Austrian Ministry of Defense has decided to upgrade the army's entire fleet of AB-212 helicopters, reports defense-aerospace.com.
The modernization will involve the replacement of avionics systems and improvement of the helicopter's night vision and defensive capabilities, enabling them remain operational for another 25 years, said defense officials.
The upgrade contract, worth about 63 million euros (US$84 million), was awarded to AgustaWestland's facility in Rome.
