Army To Step Up Efforts Following Kurdish Attacks

A Kurdish guerrilla attack on a Turkish military outpost in eastern Turkey has left four soldiers dead and seven wounded, reports Agence France-Presse.

A large group of militants from the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) attacked the outpost near Nazimiye, in Tunceli province, late Friday night, according to security sources.

The commander of the military post was killed in the fighting, which was said to be the bloodiest in months.
