Army Sets Up Crew Training School For Afghan Duty

The British army has opened a new training facility in Germany for vehicle crews scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan, reports the U.K. Ministry of Defense.

The Crew Training School (CTS), based at the army's training ranges in Sennelager in northern Germany, was designed specifically for Afghan operations.

Its first class includes troops from the 3 Commando Brigade and 7th Armored Brigade. In 2011, personnel from the 20th Armored and 19 Light Brigades will receive training. ...
