The U.S. Army is rolling out plans to provide healthier food options for recruits and troops, reports the Army Times.
Changes in the works include replacing soda fountains with milk and juices, ensuring half of all vending machine snacks are healthy, cutting back on short orders and replacing fried foods with baked foods.
Initially, the new options will be offered at basic training and most of the 217 advanced schools. The Army is also considering expanding the program...
