Army Reserve, Active Components Short Of Drill Sergeants

The U.S. Army says it needs hundreds of additional drill sergeants for active and reserve service, reports the Army Times.

The service is seeking more female drill sergeants for the active component as it prepares to open more billets to women and increase the number of female recruits.

The service had 96 percent of its male drill sergeant posts filled as of October; among female authorized positions, the number was 83 percent.
