Army To Receive More Armored Vehicles, Tanks, Says President

President Petro Poroshenko recently announced the procurement of additional armored vehicles for the Ukrainian army during a visit to the Lviv Armored Plant, reports Ukroboronprom, the Ukrainian defense holding company.

The factory will build 20 Dozor-B armored vehicles, modernized T-72 tanks and new armored recovery and repair vehicles based on the T-72, Poroshenko said on July 14.

Interfax-Ukraine noted that US$35.2 million has been allocated for the purchases.
