The U.S. Army is revamping its physical training program for what it says are the requirements of the modern battlefield, reports the Army Times.
The new Physical Readiness Training manual emphasizes lots of sprinting and high-intensity exercises, rather than endurance running, as a better simulation of the challenges faced by troops in combat, officials said.
