The growing demand for aerial intelligence and proliferation of threats around the world has convinced the U.S. Army for the need for new reconnaissance units, reports the Hill (Washington, D.C.).
The new units, which are to be established this fall, will be structured in the same fashion as existing aerial exploitation battalions, which fly fixed-wing aircraft equipped with various sensors, according to service officials.
