The U.S. Army has decided to place its cyber warfare units under a single command led by a three-star general, reports the Stars and Stripes.
The consolidation of 21,000 troops into one command is part of the creation of the parent U.S. Cyber Command structure, which is responsible for protecting military and civilian computer networks.
The Army Forces Cyber Command is scheduled to be fully operational by October at Fort Belvoir, Va.
