Army Orders Protection Kits For Logistics Vehicles

The U.S. Army has awarded O'gara-Hess & Eisenhardt Armoring, Fairfield, Ohio, a contract for protection kits for the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), reports the Dept. of Defense.

Work locations and funding will be determined with each order under the $60.7 million fixed-price deal, said a Pentagon release on Wednesday.

The FMTVs use a common chassis which is modified for various logistics and support missions.

Work is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2023.
