Army Orders More Training Ammo For Tanks

The U.S. Army has ordered $52 million worth of 120-mm training shells for its Abram tanks from ATK, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
This is the third annual contract of a four-year deal with Minneapolis-based Alliant Techsystems (ATK), Army officials said.
The training ammunition "closely replicates tactical ammunition in appearance and ballistic performance," said an ATK official. The company has delivered more than 4 million rounds of 120-mm tank ammunition to the U.S....
