Army Orders More M109A7 Paladin Howitzers

The U.S. Army has awarded BAE Systems a contract to complete low-rate production of self-propelled howitzers and ammunition carriers, reports the defense firm.
The $245.3 million deal covers the manufacture of the upgraded M109A7 Paladin howitzer and M992A3 ammunition carrier.
The award includes 30 M109A7 howitzers and 30 M992A3 ammunition carriers, according to a Pentagon release on Friday.
