Army Orders More Guided Rockets From Lockheed

The U.S. Army has awarded Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, Grand Prairie, Texas, a contract for guided multiple launch rocket system (GMLRS) missiles, reports the Dept. of Defense.

The $438 million contract covers 767 GMLRS full-rate production VI unitary pods; 508 reduced-range practice rockets and integrated logistics support.

Work under the contract is scheduled to be completed by April 30, 2014.
