Army Orders Black Hornet Nano-Drones

The French government has selected FLIR Systems to supply nano-unmanned aircraft for its operational pocket drone program, reports the Oregon-based firm.
The deal, with a maximum value of US$89 million, covers Black Hornet 3 personal reconnaissance systems, the company announced on Friday.
The Black Hornet, the world’s smallest combat-proven nano-UAV, is capable of flying for up to 25 minutes. The aircraft is equipped with electro-optical and infrared sensors.
