The Ukrainian army has placed an order for armed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from Turkey, reports the Daily Sabah (Istanbul).
An agreement was signed between Ukrspetsproekt company and Turkish firm Baykar Makina for 12 Bayraktar Tactical Block 2 (TB2) UAVs, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said in a tweet on Saturday.
The US$69 million deal also covers three ground-control station systems, ammunition and related equipment, reported Defense News.
