Army Orders 177 More Double-V Hulled Strykers

The U.S. Army has placed an order for nearly 200 additional Stryker armored vehicles equipped with double-V hulls, reports General Dynamics Land Systems, which builds the vehicles.
The $367 million contract covers 177 Stryker vehicles, according to a release from the company, based in Sterling Heights, Mich.
The double-V hull provides increased protection to Stryker crewmembers against improvised explosive devices and mine blasts.
