Army OCS Gets More Selective

The U.S. Army is tightening the requirements for applying to Officer Candidate School to reduce the number of second lieutenants being commissioned, the Army Times reports.
It will now take a baccalaureate degree to apply to regular Army OCS. Previously, enlisted soldiers could apply with only 90 completed credits.
Applicants must also appear before an interview board and write by hand a statement on "Why I want to be an Army officer."
