The U.S. Dept. of the Army has revealed some of the details of its plans to reduce the size of the active-duty force from 490,000 to 450,000 personnel, reports the Pentagon
An additional 17,000 civilian employee posts are also to be cut under the plans. The reductions are expected to affect nearly every Army installation in the U.S. and abroad, said a DoD release on Thursday.
