Army Lab Flies 'Hoverbike' Prototype; Quadcopter May Eventually Resupply Troops

The U.S. Army Research Laboratory and its industry partners have demonstrated the flying capabilities of a new, rectangular-shaped quadcopter at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.
The Joint Tactical Aerial Supply Vehicle (JTARV), also known as the "hoverbike," is initially intended for battlefield resupply missions, the laboratory said in a release on Jan. 17.
