The Syrian army, backed by Lebanon's Hezbollah group, is trying to recapture a key rebel-held city near Damascus, reports the Daily Star (Lebanon).
Pro-government forces on Monday were advancing on the border city of Zabadani, said a Hezbollah source.
On Sunday, the army and Hezbollah fighters entered the western part of the city, according to the U.K.-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
