Army Happy With NH90 Helicopters' Performance In Afghanistan

Five Italian NH90 transport helicopters have been deployed to Afghanistan, where they are said to be performing well, reports NH Industries, the manufacturer of the aircraft.

This is the first deployment of the NH90 to a war zone, noted a company release.

The aircraft is taking on tactical transport missions in Herat province, said NH officials last week.
