The French army has selected the Sagem Patroller for its tactical unmanned aerial vehicle program, reports Defense News.
The Patroller beat out the Thales Watchkeeper. The decision is expected to be formally approved at a ministerial committee meeting in February, according to French media.
The contract will eventually cover 14 units, including 10 operational and four training air vehicles. The deal is said to be worth 300 million euros (US$326 million).
